In Finnish mythology we have birth myth poems for everything. According to the birth myth of the cat, cats were created in the sauna by a greybeard (an elf) from different ingredients. I´ve always been fascinated by this myth because all of my cats have liked spending time in the sauna since cats like warm places that make the myth pretty accurate.
